ArcSitio Design is currently working with Salt Lake County on the development of the master plan and site design for the 105-acre Salt Lake County Flight Park. Due to the year-round consistent flying conditions, the park has become one of the premier flying sites in the nation. Salt Lake County and the local hang gliding community requested that improvements be made to the site and a master plan developed for future expansion. The master plan includes not only the landing and launching facilities for the gliders but also multi-purpose athletic fields, a dog park, hiking trails, and native grass meadows. Phase I programmed amenities include a pavilion, restroom, playground, parking lot, multipurpose fields, jogging path, launching and landing pads for the paraglider and hang glider enthusiasts. |
